Privacy Policy – Spinboss
How this site remembers you
This privacy notice explains how carbontrust-online.co.uk – an independent information portal reviewing Spinboss – collects, uses and protects your personal data. We are not the operator of Spinboss itself; this notice covers only the data you share with our review site, not the information you provide directly to the operator when you register or play on their platform. That relationship is governed by the operator's own privacy policy, published on their site.
carbontrust-online.co.uk is the data controller for any personal information gathered through this portal. Our contact address is [email protected]. We take your privacy seriously and process all data in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
The analytics question
Most of what we collect is technical and anonymous: your IP address (in truncated form), the pages you visit, the device and browser you use, and how long you stay. This helps us understand which sections of the site are useful and which need work. We use analytics services – typically Google Analytics with IP anonymisation enabled – to generate these reports.
We also log referring URLs: the page you came from when you landed here. No personal identifiers are tied to these logs unless you choose to send us a message through the contact form, in which case your email address and any details you include in your message are stored temporarily while we respond.
Scripts we do not control
This site embeds third-party tools for analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement. Those services may set their own cookies and collect data under their own privacy policies. The main ones you might encounter are:
- Google Analytics – tracks visits, session duration, and referral sources in aggregate form.
- Advertising partners – if you arrived via a promotional link, an affiliate network may record the click to attribute any sign-up that follows. We do not control what those networks collect; check their own policies for detail.
We never sell your data to third parties. The processors named above see only what is necessary to perform their service – anonymised usage statistics or a hashed transaction reference – and nothing more.
Your options
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to rectify any errors, to erase it (where no legal obligation requires us to keep it), to restrict processing, to data portability, and to object to automated decision-making. You may also withdraw consent at any time where our processing is based on it.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Blocking cookies and scripts
You can disable cookies entirely in your browser settings – Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge all offer granular controls under their privacy menus. Blocking all cookies will not break this site, but analytics will no longer record your visit, which is perfectly fine. For more control over tracking scripts, consider browser extensions such as uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger.
Retention and security
Analytics data is retained for 26 months, after which it is automatically deleted. Contact-form submissions are kept for 12 months or until the enquiry is resolved, whichever comes first. We store all data on secure servers within the UK or the European Economic Area, and access is restricted to authorised personnel only.
We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) for data in transit and apply role-based access controls to data at rest. No payment information is ever collected by this portal – any financial transaction happens directly between you and the operator on their own platform.
Protection of minors
This site is intended for visitors aged 18 and over (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age. If you share a device with a minor, we recommend enabling parental-control software such as Net Nanny or Qustodio to restrict access to gambling-related content.
Changes to this notice
We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in law or in how we operate. When we do, we will update the date below and, if the changes are significant, we will notify visitors through a banner on the homepage for 30 days.
